Si è svolta in marzo a Liver-
pool — per iniziativa del Con-
sole italiano Dr. Enrico Terracini
— la Quindicina Italiana intesa
a far conoscere meglio al pub-
blico inglese l'Italia e le sue rea-
lizzazioni in ogni campo. Duran-
te questi quindici giorni la città
si è pavesata di colori italiani,
e negozi ricolmi di ogni tipo
di mercanzia «made in Italy ».
Alla simpatica manifestazione
ha partecipato la Fiat con un
Rallye organizzato dalla Fiat
England, riservato alle vetture
Fiat esistenti in Inghilterra e
con una Gymkana a cui hanno
partecipato anche vetture vec-
chie di 30-40 anni. Un successo
di vivo interesse pubblico. Du-
rante l'intervallo tra il Rallye e
la Gymkana il pubblico ha assi-
stito alle esibizioni dei compo-
nenti « La Giostra del Saracino »
di Arezzo. Una gran folla si è
poi riversata nei locali dove era
stata allestita una mostra di
vetture Fiat, ammirando la va-
sta gamma di modelli esposti a cui face-
vano degna cornice migliaia di fiori giunti
dalla nostra riviera.
THE « ITALIAN FORTNIGHT» IN LI-
VERPOOL — Under the sponsorship of
the Italian Consul, Dr. Enrico Terracini,
an «Italian Fortnight » was organized last
March in Liverpool in order to have the
British public better know Italy and its
achievements in every field- During those
fifteen days the town was decked out
with the Italian colours and shop-windows
were full to overflowing with goods bear-
ing the brand « Made in Italy ».
Fiat joined in this event with a Rally
organized by the Fiat (England) Ltd. for
Fiat cars registered in Britain and with
a Gymkhana in which 30 to 40 year-old
cars were also entered. It was a great
success.
During the interval between the Rally
and the Gymkhana the public attended
the exhibitions of flag joggling by the
members of the « Joust of the Saracen»
of Arezzo.
A large crowd poured then into the
premises where a display of Fiat cars
had been prepared. The wide range of
models exhibited amid a sea of flowers,
brought especially from the Italian Ri-
viera, was greatly admired by the visitors.
